The Caspiy Without Borders Contest  will be held in September 2022 in Astrakhan as part of the 7th Caspian Media Forum. Not only official media materials, but also those of creative groups, associations and authors acting within the Caspian region will be able to claim the title of the best journalistic work.

It is the ninth time the journalistic competition will be held in Astrakhan Region. Over the years of its existence, more than 400 Caspian region media have become its participants, representing the Russian Federation, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan. Before 2017, the Contest was called Caspian Dream, but then it was renamed as Caspiy without Borders.

The jury will choose the best work worthy of the Grand Prix, as well as the winners in the following categories:

• PhotoCaspiy (the best photo work on the cooperation between the Caspian region countries, published in print and online media);

• Human and the Sea (the best work on the Caspian environment, published in print and online media, broadcasted on TV, radio, or a photo work);

• Discovering the Caspian Countries (the best work on culture, places of interest and tourism, published in print and online media, broadcasted on TV, radio, or a photo work);

• Caspian Region as an Area of Health (the best work on sport issues, healthy lifestyle, published in print and online media, broadcasted on TV, radio, or a photo work);

• A Fresh Eye (the best work in any category submitted by participants under the age of 30).

The application to the Contest may be submitted online to kaspcontest@astrobl.ru in Russian, English or in the official language of one of the Caspian region countries with translation into Russian.

Participation is open for works published in the media from January 1, 2021 to June 10, 2022 inclusive.
