Caspian School of Volunteering The Meridians of Goodwill began its work

А meeting of the Caspian School of Volunteering Meridians of Goodwill was called in the run up to the Caspian Media Forum-2021. Participants from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Russia took part in this major international event.

The school’s work programme includes a number of events dedicated to eco-volunteering and media volunteering in the field of ecology. At the moment, the AZIMUT Hotel hosts panel discussions on such topics as The best practices and approaches in working with eco-volunteerism today and Overcoming key challenges in volunteering in the field of ecology.

The speakers of the Caspian School were the head of the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Astrakhan region Viktor Nurtazin, the  Deputy Chairman of the NGO of environmental Volunteers Delai! Irina Levina, the director of the Green Movement of Russia EKA Elena Gorokhova, and the executive director of the Political Science Center North-South Trapeznikova Angelika Sergeevna as well.

‘The system of international communication between the Caspian Sea region countries in the field of volunteering is topical and urgent for us. It can become one of our focus areas and a perfect boost for our interaction, networking and experience exchange. Currently, a lot of promoting healthy lifestyle (challenges of health and goodness) volunteer projects are being implemented. Further on, environmental volunteering, including the preservation of the water area and the coast of the Caspian Sea, is one of the important areas for all of us,’ noted the head of the Agency for Youth Affairs of the Astrakhan region Viktor Nurtazin.

The participants of the Caspian School of Volunteering will plant trees on the Central Embankment near the Registry Office upon completion of the work.

It should be reminded that the organizers of the project are the Political Science Center North-South, the Association Center for International and Socio-Political Studies Caspian-Eurasia supported by the Presidential Grants Fund.
