The main media event of the Astrakhan region, the Caspian Media Forum-2021, will begin work very soon. This authoritative international event is designed to strengthen good-neighborly relations between the countries of the Caspian region and identify new vectors of their cooperation, in particular, in the field of mass media.

The Caspian Media Forum will be held in Astrakhan for the sixth time. The main events are scheduled for September 10th. The main venue for the forum will be the Astrakhan State Opera and Ballet Theater.

In addition, a wide cultural program awaits guests. The day before, on September 9, events within the framework of the Rossotrudnichestvo youth program "New Generation" will take place on the sidelines of the forum. Its main content is the organization of short-term trips to the Russian Federation of young representatives of political, social, scientific and business circles of foreign states to get acquainted with the socio-political, socio-economic, scientific, educational and cultural life in the country.

Also, on the eve of the Caspian Media Forum-2021, a meeting of the Caspian School of Volunteering will be held on the topic "The ecology of the region as a factor of investment and tourism attractiveness." Activists of environmental volunteer organizations and movements from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Russia will raise issues of environmental volunteering and media volunteering in the field of ecology.

Governor of the Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin, Official Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Yevgeny Primakov, President of the Guild of Interethnic Journalism Margarita Lyange, ambassadors and consuls of the Caspian countries, and representatives of state authorities are expected to take part in the Caspian Media Forum.

Besides, the results of the competition for the best journalistic work "Caspian without Borders" will be announced within the framework of the VI Caspian Media Forum.
